Handrail Entry
Guard
This device is fitted at the entry of
the handrail to prevent any injuries caused by foreign
matters,especially when children’s fingers reach into
the handrail gaps. The contacts of this device break
under the action of thrust and disconnect the power and
thus lead to shutdown.
Emergency Stop
Button
A red emergency stop button is
provided at the entry and exit ends of the escalator.
Its function is to disconnect the power and thus lead to
shutdown in case of any emergencies.
Broken Step Chain Safety
Device
Though the strength of the step chain
is fully taken into account, the aforesaid device is
still provided in order to stop the escalator
immediately in case of any unexpected circumstances.
Comb Plate safety
Device
The contacts of comb plate are
located on the back of the comb plate. If there are any
foreign matters clamped in it, the comb plate can move
horizontally and vertically. When it acts on the
contacts, the power will be disconnected and the
escalator will be switched off.
Skirting Safety
Device
Its function is to prevent any
foreign matters from being clamped between the step and
skirting,which will affect the escalator running
,especially prevent unexpected accidents caused by the
shoes or long skirts of passengers being seized .If the
skirting is deformed , the contacts will be actuated and
thus lead to power disconnection and escalator
shutdown.
Step Sagging
Detector
Breaking of the escalator steps is
very dangerous. So lower limit contacts for steps are
provided in the truss. When a step sags over 3mm,the
contacts will immediately operate and the escalator will
stop.
Abnormal Step
Detector
If any step loss occurs due to
negligence,the escalator will stop immediately after
starting to run.
Power Protection
Device
Phase monitor is installed to prevent
reverse phase and failure of the power supply. The
escalator can still operate normally when the power
voltage or frequency fluctuates.
Overspeed Protection
Device
The escalator will stop immediately
if its running speed is over or below its rated speed by
specified value.
Electromagnetic
Brake
It can stop the operation of the
escalator quickly and steadily in case of any motor
faults.
Protection device for
unintentional reverdal of the travel
direction
Its function is to prevent the
escalator running in the direction different from its
current travel direction.
Broken Drive-chain Safety
Device
Its function is to disconnect the
power and thus stop the escalator in case of broken
drive
chains. |
